Tilitonse Foundation at the African Philanthropy Conference

The Tilitonse Foundation is participating in the 5th African Philanthropy Conference 2024 taking place from 29 July – 3 August, 2024 at Elephant Hills Resort, Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The conference brings together social movements, funders, researchers and ancillary institutions. It has been organized in two components: Academic Presentations from 29 – 30 July; and Practitioners Sessions from 31 July – 2 August.

The Tilitonse Foundation is attending both components of the conference with the following aims: follow developments and updates on African philanthropy from academic research to inform programming and strategic direction of the Foundation on philanthropy; make use of this space to engage practitioners, funders and ancillary institutions on African philanthropy so that we share experiences as we work towards situating Tilitonse Foundation as a key player in African philanthropy in Malawi, Africa and globally.

We have a strong conviction to place local and community philanthropy at the core of its programming and utilize the emerging opportunities from our demographic dividends to inspire Malawians to embrace the potential of philanthropy in addressing governance and development related societal challenges such as climate change, youth participation and marginalization of women and young girls. The Foundation is represented by our Chief Executive Officer, Robert White.
