About Tilitonse Foundation
Tilitonse Foundation was established in 2016 as a private company, limited by guarantee, which aims to promote accountable and inclusive governance by building the capacity of both civil society organizations (CSOs) and community based organizations (CBOs). Part of the driving force behind the creation of the foundation is to ensure that CSOs and CBOs have a platform that allow for their facilitation in improving inclusivity, transparency, accountability and responsiveness to governance in Malawi.

Call For Support
The Tilitonse Foundation is a local Malawian NGO registered in 2016. It is a member of Council for Non-Governmental Organizations (CONGOMA) and is also registered under the NGO Board of Malawi. Over the years, Tilitonse Foundation has been praised for its thorough dedication in mobilizing resources for capacity development, research, policy advocacy, learning and engagement for civil society organizations in Malawi. Collaborating with civil society organization, networks and alliances, the media, and other interest groups, Tilitonse Foundation facilitates creation of spaces and platforms for engagement and influencing policies and practices that benefits marginalized and less privileged groups or individuals.
Tilitonse Foundation supports well organized community based organizations that consolidates and scale up its work at community, district and national levels. This work has been possible with support from the EU Delegation to Malawi, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and BMZ. Lately, funding for most of civil society strengthening have been scaled down due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the general global economic slowdown. Tilitonse Foundation needs your help today to promote accountable, responsive and inclusive governance in Malawi.
