About Tilitonse Foundation
Tilitonse Foundation is a newly established organisation, limited by guarantee, which aims to build the capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs) and community based Organizations (CBOs) in good governance. Part of the driving force behind the creation of the foundation is to ensure that CSOs and CBOs have a platform that could facilitate in improving inclusivity, transparency, accountability and responsiveness to governance in Malawi

Our Mission
The Foundation exist to promote accountable, responsive and inclusive governance by mobilizing resources for capacity development, grant making, research and learning for the non-state actors’ governance interventions in Malawi.

Tilitonse Foundation Call for Support
The Tilitonse Foundation is a local Malawian NGO registered in 2016. It is a member of Council for Non-Governmental Organisations (CONGOMA) and is also registered under the NGO Board of Malawi. Over the years, Tilitonse Foundation has been praised for its thorough dedication in mobilizing resources for capacity development, research, policy advocacy, learning and engagement for civil society organisations in Malawi. Collaborating with civil society organization, networks and alliances, the media, and other interest groups, Tilitonse Foundation facilitates creation of spaces and platforms for engagement and influencing policies and practices that benefits marginalised and less privileged groups or individuals.
Tilitonse Foundation supports well organized community based organisations that consolidates and scale up its work at community, district and national levels. This work has been possible with support from the EU Delegation to Malawi, the Royal Norwegian Embassy and BMZ. Lately, funding for most of civil society strengthening have been scaled down due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the general global economic slowdown. Tilitonse Foundation needs your help today to promote accountable, responsive and inclusive governance in Malawi.
