The Value of Communications and Knowledge Management to Monitoring and Evaluation
What is the value of Communications and Knowledge Management to Monitoring and Evaluation? Do we need those other functions when we have a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) function in our organization already? How do we leverage both M&E and Communications and Knowledge Management functions for organizational benefit?
These questions are at the forefront of a Knowledge Management and Communications Training taking place this week for 10 CSOs in the “Strengthening Food and Nutrition Security Programming” project.
It is hoped that this capacity development initiative will help the organizations to carry out their Knowledge Management and Communications and MEAL functions in a manner that allows the two to coexist and leverage on each other for exceptional organizational reporting and marketing results.
The training is taking place at Crossroads Hotel in Blantyre and the project is being implemented by Tilitonse Foundation and the Civil Society Agriculture Network (CISANET) in partnership with Weltehungerhilfe and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
